Experience

Bernardo has extensive experience in Compliance, representing companies from various sectors in investigations and leniency agreement negotiations. He handles investigations and crises of all kinds, ranging from behavioural issues to cases of fraud and international corruption, as well as advising on sensitive risks in transactions and disputes with significant reputational exposure. Additionally, he works on Integrity Programme routines, including conducting due diligence, negotiating contractual protections, among other safeguards. He is a coordinator and professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP), teaching in the FGV Master’s and LLM programmes. He is also the founder of the Permanent Study Commission on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (PLD-FTP) and a member of the Permanent Study Commission on Compliance at the São Paulo Lawyers’ Institute (IASP).

Graduation

He holds a Law degree from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) and an LLM from Columbia Law School.
